The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) was first detected in the Netherlands towards the end of February 2020. Since the first confirmed case, the pandemic has caused a major impact on Dutch daily business. The present article describes the evolution of the pandemic in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the actions and measures implemented during the first three months. The social, political and economic impacts are also explored, and to conclude the article will gather some reflections and considerations for the future months.
