Motherhood

I always knew becoming a mom was something I wanted, partly because I felt I had a lot to pass along to future generations, including the moral obligation to maintain a sustainable environment, and reliving simple life lessons such as learning how to play the piano, reading from Winnie the Pooh to Shakespeare.

However, pregnancy and breastfeeding was not as romantic as I visualized it to be. I did everything “by the book” with my first pregnancy, studying books such as What to Expect when you’re Expecting and The Happiest Baby on the Block. My children Emma, Olivia and Daniel are now 9, 7 and almost 5, and I couldn’t be happier every morning when Daniel showers me with hugs and kisses, making crafts with Olivia and going on bike rides with Emma.
